Failed elution of labeled cells

In very rare cases the elution buffer does not run through the columns of the Multi-24 Column Block after the
vacuum impulse has been applied. If so,
plug the column air-tight, for example with a glove covered thumb, to create a minimal overpressure that re-

engages elution buffer flow through.
ensure that the plug is sterilized, if sterile conditions are required.

Poor elution recovery

If the elution recovery is poor, ensure that:
base and lid of the MACS Elution Chamber are assembled correctly without tilting.

the lid of the MACS Elution Chamber and labware sealing are dust free, intact, and positioned correctly.

If the problem persists or if a sealing has to be changed, please contact Miltenyi Biotec Technical Support.
