To replace the flash lamp, proceed as follows:
1.
Turn off power to the laser. If the high voltage has been on, wait at least 5 minutes for the

2.
Drain the cooling water from the tank and laser chamber as described in Chapter 7.
3.
Refer to Figure 8-2. Loosen the eight
M6 bolts in the laser chamber top
cover and remove the top cover.
4.
Remove the two M3 bolts at each end
of the mirror cylinder and carefully
remove the mirror cylinder from the
laser chamber. CAUTION: Be
careful not to scratch the inside
surface of the laser chamber as you
remove the mirror cylinder.
5.
Place the top cover and mirror
cylinder on a clean cloth to protect
them from oil, dust and other
contaminants. CAUTION: Scratching
or contaminating the reflective
surface of the mirror cylinder may
reduce the laser output.

Refer to Figure 8-3. Remove the two
M5 bolts securing the lead wires at each end of the flash lamp.
7.
Holding both ends of the flash lamp, carefully lift the flash lamp out of the holders.
CAUTION: Do not touch the glass part of the flow tube.
