When under panel control, the laser is controlled from the control pendant.
When under external control, the laser is controlled by external signals connect to the
I/O connectors.
When under RS-422 control, the laser is controlled by a computer or controller
connected to the RS-422 (1) or RS-422 (2) connectors.
SHUT-1 through SHUT-6: These fields show the status (:OFF or :ON) of the branch
shutters.
ML-2531A [V1-01A]: This field displays the ROM version of the LW250 Laser.
MLE-111A [V1-01A]: This field displays the ROM vesrion of the control pendant.
POSITION BLINK: This field allows you to change the diode aiming laser beam from
blinking (POSITION BLINK:ON) to continuous light (POSITION BLINK: OFF).
Monitor Screen. The data fields in the
monitor screen (Figure 2-12) are as follows:
SCHEDULE: Allows you to select the
schedule you wish to be monitored by the
power monitor. The energy of the laser
beam emitted on the last pulse in the
selected schedule will be indicated.
Since the respective last energy values of
the 16 schedules are stored in memory,
they can be checked after work is completed. During operation, the control pendant
screen indicates the schedule currently being executed.
ENERGY: This field displays laser energy in joules (J). Each time the laser beam is
emitted, it is checked to see if it is within range of the ENERGY HIGH/LOW value set
on the schedule/monitor screen. (This has the same function as the ENERGY MON.
Field on the schedule/monitor screen.)
AVERAGE: This field displays the average power, in watts (W), of the laser beam output
in 1 second.
ENERGY WIDE: When this field displays ENERGY:ON, the value of ENERGY is
indicated over the entire display screen. With ENERGY:OFF displayed, the value is
shown in normal size.
