Preparation for Operation

Verify that the electrical supply meets the requirements of the LW250 Laser. It requires a supply
of 230 VAC, 1.5 kVA (minimum), 3-phase with a 10 amp circuit breaker in the line between the
laser and the supply. The electrical supply connection must meet ALL local, state and federal
safety standards.

Turning Power ON and OFF

Turn the MAIN POWER switch, located on
the power panel on the front of the LW250
Laser, to the ON position. The POWER status
indicator will turn on and the display screen
will read as shown at the right.
At this time, the following items in the laser are automatically checked:
Main shutter - open/close
Negative-phase detector relay
Memory (sum check and data range)
Flow switch
Charge trouble (charge completion signal)
If conditions are normal, the LCD display will
look as shown on the right. The screen will
not change until the control key-switch is
turned ON.
