10. Reconnect the side panel air filter, the water tank cover, the water tank
drain pipe and cap, and the stopper bolt in the laser chamber water drain
hole.
CAUTION: The ion exchange resin cartridge loses its
efficiency when it become dried. If the cartridge is to be used
again, place it in a plastic bag or an air tight container and store
it in a cool, dark place. Note that the total shelf life of this
cartridge is 6 months; therefore, keep date records.
Cleaning the Solenoid Valve Strainer. The solenoid valve is located at
the left of center under the front door (see Figure 7-2). The tools required for cleaning
the solenoid valve strainer are as follows:
Small bristle brush
10 mm wrench
To clean the solenoid valve strainer, proceed as follows:
1. Refer to Figure 7-2. Turn off the cooling water and
disconnect the hose from the cooling water inlet.
2. Drain the remaining cooling water from the hoses
and cooling system.
3. Refer to Figure 7-6. With a 10 mm wrench, remove
the four bolts that secure the solenoid valve top
housing to the valve body.
4. Remove the top housing and remove the spring and
diagram.
5. Remove the strainer and clean it with water and a
brush.
6. Return the strainer, diaphragm and spring to the
solenoid valve body.
7. Secure the top housing on the solenoid body with
four bolts.
8. Reconnect the coolant supply hose and turn on the
water supply.
