Tire Pressure Monitoring System
After the vehicle has been driven for a
short distance the tire pressure readings
are now shown against the corresponding
wheel icons on the vehicle display view
silhouette.
A warning will appear in the right hand
display screen and the
instrument panel will flash accompanied
by an audible chime if one or more of
the vehicles tires is significantly under-
inflated.

The left hand display will default to the
vehicle silhouette and indicate which
tire(s) require investigation.
If the TPMS warnings are displayed then
stop the car as soon as it is safe so to do
and examine the affected tire(s). If there
is no visible damage and a tire pump is
available, correct the pressure(s) to those

stated in the 'Technical Data' section and
proceed with caution to a tire specialist for
professional inspection and advice.
Note that the TPMS warnings will
automatically extinguish when the correct
pressure(s) are restored.

A flashing or constantly illuminated tell
tale or '--'being displayed instead of a tire
pressure reading indicates a malfunction
has occurred within the TPMS, refer to
INSTRUMENTS, SWITCHES & TELL TALE LAMPS
page 49 for further information.
If a tire is punctured or no inflation
equipment is available, consider using
the emergency tire inflator aerosol (see
page 101), but observe the associated
WARNINGS and be aware that the TPMS
sensor in the tire will be disabled by the
sealing fluid and must be renewed.
The pressure sensors are powered by
integral batteries with an average service
life of 5 years. It is recommended to renew
all pressure sensors at this time interval.

this handbook for further information on
the TPMS system.

