Exterior Lighting - Light Switch

Located at the end of the driver's fascia
outboard of the steering column and is il-
luminated with the ignition on.
Switch positions:
O
: Lights off
: Parking Lamps

: Headlamps
The L/H steering column lever
switch is used to select main or dip
beam.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

With the engine running the DRL's within
the front bumper grilles are automati-
cally illuminated, (also see page 112). The
DRLs will extinguish automatically if the
headlamps are selected or if the engine
is turned off.

Side Marker Lamps

The side marker lamps inset within the
left hand and right hand sides of the front
and rear bumper will also automati-
cally illuminate with the activation of the
parking lamps, see page 113 for more
information.

'Lights On' Warning

A reminder buzzer will sound if the lights
are on when the ignition is switched off and
the driver's door is opened.

Homesafe

This feature keeps the headlamp dipped
beams and sidelamps illuminated for 30/60
seconds after exiting the vehicle in order
to light the departure route. To activate
ensure that the headlamps/sidelamps are
switched OFF, then;
- Withdraw the key from the ignition.
- Activate the headlamp flash by pulling
back on left hand column switch for more
than 0.5 seconds.
The headlamps will illuminate for 30 sec-
onds and then extinguish.
Note: Activating the headlamp flasher
twice in quick succession will illuminate
the headlamps for 60 seconds.

Dip/Beam change

Headlamp Dipswitch/Flasher/Indicators

The switch is operated by pulling the left
hand lever switch towards the steering
wheel to one of two spring loaded positions
and then releasing.
Headlamp Flash: To flash the headlamp
main beams pull the lever to the first
position; the beams will light until the
lever is released.
Dip/Main Beam Switching: The headlamps
will switch on in either dip or main
beam mode according to the last made
selection.
To change from one to the other, pull the
lever fully towards the steering wheel to
the second position and then release. Each
such action will cause alternate selection
of main and dip beams.
