TPMS SENSOR CONFIGURATION

TPMS Sensor Configuration
After the fitment of a new TPMS sensor
the
tell tale warning light will be
illuminated, the tire pressure values
within the left hand instrument panel
display screen will be displayed as
'--' and the warning symbol will be
displayed in the right hand display
screen because the new sensor is
not yet configured to the vehicle.
Configuration Procedure
After the fitment of a new TPMS sensor:
- Drive the vehicle for a time period of between 4 - 10 minutes at road speeds between
15 to 44mph.
- The vehicle does not have to be moving constantly during this process, but only continu-
ous driving periods of 60 seconds or more within this speed range will allow the TPMS
sensor to be successfully configured.
- The ignition cannot be turned off until configuration has been successfully completed.
Turning off the ignition prior to this will result in the configuration procedure having to
be repeated.
Once the TPMS sensor is successfully configured, the actual tire pressures will be displayed in
the left hand panel screen and both the warning symbol and tell tale light will extinguish.
