CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING (CDL)

To Lock/Unlock from the Inside

Using Interior CDL Switch: Press the
switch located within the switch cluster.
With the ignition on both doors will be
locked and the
will illuminate indicating
the doors are locked. Press the

unlock the doors.
Using Dynamic (drive-away) Locking: This
selectable feature will automatically lock
the doors when vehicle speed exceeds
10 mph (15 km/h). The doors will remain
locked until the
is pressed or the interior
door release handle is pulled.
To Select/De-Select: Turn on the ignition,
press and hold the
for at least 5 seconds
until a single beep is heard as confirma-
tion. This feature will remain permanently
selected until the
is pressed again for
5 seconds and a double beep is heard,
confirming de-selection.

To Lock Using the Key

In the event of a discharged vehicle battery
or an inoperative transmitter key the left
hand door may be locked by using the key
in the exterior lock barrel.

To Lock: Insert the key, turn fully clockwise,
return to the vertical and withdraw.
To Unlock: Insert the key into the lock, turn
fully counter-clockwise, return to the verti-
cal and withdraw.
Note: A door locked with the mechanical
key cannot be unlocked using the trans-
mitter.
Note: Locking the doors mechanically will
not arm the alarm system.

Emergency Door Locking

An emergency latch access hole is located

on the right hand end of the door shell if it is
necessary to lock the right hand door.
1. With the right hand door open, carefully
remove the grommet covering the emer-
gency access hole.

2. Lift the exterior door handle upwards.

3. Place a suitable screwdriver approxi-
mately 10mm into the access hole.
4. With the door handle still lifted, use a
lateral wrist action to rotate the screw-
driver so that its tip moves to the left
within the door panel. An audible click
should be heard as the screwdriver
moves the latch locking quadrant into
the locked position.
5. Release the door handle, refit the access
cover grommet and close the door.
6. Confirm that the door has successfully
locked by attempting to open the door
using the exterior door handle (as us-
ing the interior door handle to confirm
will automatically unlock and open the
door).
7. Manually lock the left hand door using
the ignition key.
Note: When mechanically locking both
doors be aware of the potential for inadvert-
ently locking the keys in the vehicle.
