Network Settings
Intellex
You must configure the network settings for Network Client
operation. You must assign a computer name and a workgroup.
The TCP/IP properties must also be set to match your network
requirements.
To configure the network settings:
1.
From the Control Panel screen, double-click the Network
icon. The Network screen appears.
2.
Select the Identification tab. The Identification tab of the
Network screen appears.
NOTE: Since Windows converts all letters to upper-case, do not
use the same name for more than one unit. The
Computer Name cannot begin with a number.
3.
Use the mouse to highlight the current Computer name.
Then enter a new Computer name. The unit displays this
name on the Intellex Status screen.
4.
Use the mouse to highlight the current Workgroup. Then
enter a new Workgroup. Although not required, we
recommend assigning each Intellex unit to a workgroup.
5.
If you want to enter a description, use the mouse to highlight
the current Computer Description. Then enter a new
Computer Description.
6.
The TCP/IP properties (such as IP address and Subnet
Mask,) must be configured to match your specific network
requirements. Ask your network administrator for this
information.
7.
Select OK to accept the new network settings, close this
screen and return to the Control Panel screen. Select Cancel
to close this screen without changing the network settings
and return to the Control Panel screen.
