NOTE: Before connecting power, set the voltage switch to the
correct voltage ("115" or "230").
NOTE: The use of an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) unit is
highly recommended. UPS units are used to protect
critical computing systems from power fluctuations that
may cause loss of data or damage to the system.

for the best tape drive performance.

NOTE: Proper maintenance of the tape drive is required for
reliable operation. Sony tape drives should be cleaned
after every 24 hours of operation. Use Sony cleaning
cartridges. Follow the directions included with the
