COOKING METHODS
They vary for each model.
Turbo-grill : use of the upper element with the fan which circulates air round the oven.
Ideal for thick cooking or big pieces to roast, such as joints of pork, poultry, etc...
Pre-heating is required for red meat, but not for white meat.
Place the food directly on the shelf in the centre of the oven, on the middle level. Slide a drip-tray under the
shelf to collect the fat. This method ensures that the food will not grill too quickly. Turn the food over half-
way through cooking.
Cooking with the turbo-grill should be done with the oven door closed.
The temperature can be regulated on all models, between 60°C and 230°C.
Rotisserie : use the upper element with the rotisserie, which rotates the food during cooking.
Rediscover all the flavours of traditional spit-roast cooking.
It is preferable to cook only medium-size pieces on the rotisserie and to cook large ones using the Turbo-
grill for example, which will give better results. No pre-heating is required for the rotisserie.
The temperature can be regulated on all models, between 60°C and 280°C.
It is also designed to continue turning for a further five minutes beyond cooking time, so that the any
residual heat can be evenly distributed.
Rotisserie cooking should always be done with the oven door left ajar.
Warmer (FE 5573 RU) : The temperature is pre-set at a constant 60°C (no need to select a temperature on
the thermostat).
This function is identical to that of the defroster, but the temperature is rigorously maintained at 60°C.
Ideal for keeping food hot without overcooking it, for meringues and also useful for keeping empty dishes
warm.
Pyrolyse (FE 5143 RU - FE 5573 RU) : Integral cleaning of the oven by burning off all the stains (grease,
sugar) at a temperature of around 500°C.
The pyrolytic cycle can be programmed (see the chapter entitled "The programmer"). According to the level
of staining, the cycle can be set between 0 and 3h. For normal staining the cycle lasts 1h 30.
