Note:
When operating in terminal mode of some applications,
echoing of typed commands may be "bursty." This is due to
the application improperly handling port speeds greater than
115,200 bps. Many users find this "burstyness" unacceptable.
If you used the %Bn command in your initialization string to
set the TA's port speed higher than 115,200 (see page 33), try
changing the port speed parameter to its default value by us-
ing %B0 in the initialization string. This causes the ISDN TA
to match the port speed set in the terminal application.

If there is a section of your software called "Terminal Settings," make
sure that Hardware Flow Control (RTS/CTS) is ON (or YES). This
is necessary in order for V.42bis file transfers to work.
•
Set auto baud detect to OFF (or NO).
•
The answer to Send init if CD high? is YES.
Initialization, Reset, Dial, and Answer Settings
Connections for ISDN lines require different settings in the initializa-
tion, reset, dial, and answer strings. Your software may provide these
for you, or you may need to enter them yourself.
The ISDN TA requires different initialization settings depending on
what you're connecting to – a telephone or other voice device, or a re-
mote access server, or other ISDN device . If your software does not have
ISDN TA settings, you must add them.
ISDN allows you to communicate with digital-only devices so you can
quickly and reliably:
•
make/receive voice calls
•
send/receive large data files, including images, video, and
sound
•
access the Internet, online services, and other remote ac-
cess servers such as LANs or BBSs
•
work interactively with others through voice and data
calls on one line
