Test or Inspection to perform
S(2)
Protective Earth
Measures impedance of Protective Earth (PE) terminal to all exposed metal parts of
Instrument under Test (IUT), which are for safety reasons connected to the Protective
Earth (PE). Includes normally the wiring in the mains cable (max. 200 mOhm). Test
current 25 Amps applied for 5 seconds to 10 seconds. The recommendation is to flex the
main cable during the test in order to identify potential bad contact or damage of the
earth wire.
Safety test according IEC 601-1 (Clause 18) Report largest value.
S(3)
Patient Leakage
current - AC
Measures patient leakage current from applied Part to earth caused by external main
voltage on applied Part with switch S5 open and closed. Each polarity combination
possible is tested using S2 and S6. This test is applicable for every listed module. (ECG,
ECG / RESP, Invasive Pressure, Cardiac Output, CO
