Turning the light source on or off

Turn the light source on to display content or view test patterns, turn the light off to extend the life of
the lasers.
To turn the light source on or off, in the right toolbar, select and hold Light.
If you turn on the light source when the projector power is off, power is turned on
automatically.
Allow the projector to cool down for 10 minutes after turning it off.
If you turn on the laser source while the projector is cooling down, the lasers turn on.

Opening or closing the shutter

Open the shutter (douser) to display light on the screen, or close the shutter to remove light from the
screen.
In the right toolbar, select and hold Shutter.
If the shutter was closed, the shutter opens.
If the shutter was open, the shutter closes.
The shutter sensor prevents light source activation when the shutter is closed.
In a situation where the shutter is not functioning, you can use the option for Permit light
source activation when shutter is nonfunctional to permit activation of the light source. To
enable this option, select Service Setup > Preferences > Lens/ILS and enable Permit light
source activation when shutter is nonfunctional.
To avoid damage to the projector, only enable this option when the shutter can be verified as
open.

Adding a network time protocol server

Add a network time protocol (NTP) server to synchronize the time on all installed projectors in the
same region.
1. In the left navigation menu, select Service Setup > Time Setup.
