2. Cogo

Coordinate Geometry Calculations

Press the [2] key on the MENU screen to display the
COGO menu screen.
This function can be used at any time from
observation or PT input screens.

2-1. Inverse

Calculating Angle and Distance between Two Coordinates

There are two functions in Inverse. "PT-PT"
calculates the distance and the angle between two
input points.
2-1-1. PT-PT Inverse
Input the first point number/name. Type the PT and
press the [ENT] key.
• When you press [ENT] without having any point name/number in the PT field, it
shows a coordinate input screen. This coordinate will NOT be stored to the
database. If you want to record the point, you need to specify a new point
name/number.
Type the second point number/name and press the
[ENT] key. [MSR] softkey allows you to shoot the
point on the spot to use it in the calculation.
The azimuth, horizontal distance, and vertical
distance from the first point to the second point are
displayed.
Press the [ESC] key to return to the PT input screen.
Press the [ENT] key to return to the COGO menu.
