To fix the EDM error on the Nikon NPL 322 Total Station, follow the steps to check and adjust the instrument constant:
1. Set up the instrument at Point P in a flat area. 2. Place a reflector prism at Point Q, 100 meters from Point P, and account for the prism constant. 3. Measure the distance PQ. 4. Install the reflector prism on a tripod at Point P. 5. Set up another tripod at Point R on the line between Points P and Q. 6. Move the instrument to Point R. 7. Measure distances RP and RQ. 8. Calculate the difference: PQ - (RP + RQ). 9. Repeat steps 5–8 about ten times at different positions. 10. Calculate the average of the differences.
This process helps identify and correct the EDM measurement error by adjusting the instrument constant.
Introduction For your safety, read this instruction manual carefully and thoroughly before using the DTM-322 instrument. Although Nikon products are designed for maximum safety, using them incorrectly or disregarding the instructions can cause personal injury or property damage. You should also read the documentation for any other equipment that you use with a DTM-322 instrument.
You should take care not to short circuit the contacts. Short circuits can cause the battery to catch fire or burn you. WARNING – Never burn or heat the battery. Doing so may cause the battery to leak or rupture. A leaking or ruptured battery can cause serious injury. Total Station DTM-322 Instruction Manual...

Questions and answers
Papaano ayusin ang edm error ng Nikon npl 322 total station
