2. Measuring Distances
Press the [MSR1] or [MSR2] key on the BMS or
any observation screens to take a distance
measurement.

While taking a measurement, the prism constant
currently used is shown in small characters.
If the Average count is set to 0, measurements are
taken continuously until [MSR1]/[MSR2] or [ESC]
is pressed. Each time a measurement is taken, the
distance is updated.
While the Average count is set to 1–99, the averaged
distance is displayed after the last shot. The header
"SD:" changes to "SDx" to indicate the averaged
data.
When the signal level is insufficient to take a measurement, the signal icon flashes
on and off. (See page 3-4)
• To change the Height of Target or Temperature and
Pressure, press the [HOT] key. (See page 3-28)
• Correction-related settings (T-P , Sea Level, C&R
and Map projection) are included in Job settings.
These settings are job specific and if you change
any of them, a new job must be created. (See page
3-86, 3-97)
