To measure less reflective objects, use the N-prism (reflectorless) mode Measurement in Reflectorless mode The intensity of the reflection from the target determines the distance the NPL-322 can measure in this mode. The color and condition of the target surface also affect the measurable distance, even if the targeted objects are the same.

The tribrach adapter has a height adjustment adapter. To use the prism reflector with the NPL-322 instrument or other Nikon Total Stations except Nivo series instrument, attach the height adjustment adapter to the tribrach adaper as shown in the figure below.
