3. Quick Station (Quick)

Setup the Station quickly without Given Coordinates

The Station point (ST) in this function is defaulted to a new point number.
For the new point, MP (0, 0, 0) is stored as the coordinate. When the ST is manually
changed to a known point name, the setup is done on its coordinate.

Press the [3] key on STN menu to enter Quick
Station setup.
ST: Station point (defaulted to the Last
recorded PT+1 or ST+1 depending on the
Split ST setting)
H I : Height of Instrument
BS: Backsight point (blank)
AZ: Backsight azimuth (defaulted to zero)
No default PT is assigned to the BS. It can be left
blank or a BS point name can be input. The
backsight azimuth (AZ) is defaulted to zero but it
can be changed while the cursor is in "AZ" field.
Sight the BS and press the [ENT] key to complete the station setup.
Both HA and AZ will be reset to the input value when the [ENT] is pressed at the AZ
field.
• Even if both ST and BS are known points, this function does not calculate the
backsight angle (AZ) automatically. When you want the AZ to be calculated
between two known points (ST and BS), please use [STN] → [1:Known] function.
