4.1 Inspection
The Ecolift should inspected by the operator
on a monthly basis by observing the activati-
on of the pump:
Press the flap close button on the control unit
will which shut the motorized backwater flap
Drain a fixture connected to the Ecolift so that
wastewater collects in the Ecolift
- Wait until the Level LED and the Pump LED
turn on
- Stop the drainage of wastewater to the Eco-
lift
- Wait until the Level LED and the Pump LED
turn off
Attention:
make sure that at the end of the inspection
that the motorized flap in the open position!
The pump should be tested at regular inter-
vals. In the case that the pump makes irregu-
lars noises during operation or that the pum-
ping performance of the pump decreases
then the pump housing and pump impeller
must be inspected for obstructions or wear
and tear. If required obstruction should be re-
moved and any parts showing wear and tear
should be replaced.
4.2 Maintenance - The Ecolift should
be maintained on a 6-months basis
Attention! Before any maintenance
work is conducted on the Ecolift it
should be completely disconnected
from all power sources! Please follow
all safety instructions! Warranty claims
are not valid in the case that the Eco-
lift has not been properly maintained!
All inspection and maintenance de-
scribed below must be conducted by
an authorized professional. Repairs to
the Ecolift must only be undertaken by
the manufacturer.
DIN 1986 Part 3 regulations must be follo-
wed during maintenance of the Ecolift® . The
following maintenance work should be done
during every maintenance (every 6 months)
- Visual check of the entire system
- A complete cleaning of the entire system
and the pump
- Check the entire system and pump housing
for damage or wear and tear
- Check and remove and build up or ob-
structions that may be lodged in the sy-
stem
- Check all connected pipes for damage or
wear and tear
- Check all gaskets or watertightness or no-
ticeable wear and tear
4. Inspection and Maintenance

- Check the pump motor that the insulation of
the pump is in order
- Check control unit to make sure all connec-
tions are in order and check for damage.
Clean the control unit if required.
- Check and clean the ventilation valve
- Clean the optical probe
It is also recommended that the above
work is conducted if the system was not in
operation for an extended period of time.
Also if backwater has occurred often or for
a long time the same maintenance work
should be undertaken. In the case that a
malfunction cannot be repaired please
contact the installation company that in-
stalled the Ecolift® .

a) Remove backwater flap and housing
b) Clean all parts
c) Check all gaskets
d) Lubricate the exterior portion of the housing
gasket as well as the location wear the
motorized lever contacts the backwater flap.
e) Re-insert the backwater flap and housing
making sure that it is replaced properly
f) Make sure that the securing clips are correct
g) Follow
(Section 4.2.1)
h) Conduct an operational test as described in
Manual 010-847.
4.2.1 Installation of both covers (see il-
lustration 12,13 and 14). At a side angle,
as seen in the illustration, place both co-
vers into the housing and then firmly press
the other sides down an secure with the
finger clips. The manual flap and the mo-
torized flap must be in the 'ZU' or closed
position before the cover are installed.
