Dear Customer,
Before installing and commissioning
this KESSEL Ecolift® , please thoroug-
hly read through this manual and fol-
low all instructions!
Please make sure that nothing was dama-
ged during the shipment of this item. In
case damage did occur during the ship-
ment please go to Section 6 - Guarantee.
Safety Instructions
During the installation, operation and
maintenance of this product, all applicable
safety measures including the correspon-
ding DIN and VDE norms and regulations
as well as any local or national electrical
safety precautions should be followed!
Before commissioning, a licensed installer
should assure that all safety measures are
in place. All electrical work such as groun-
ding must follow all local and electrical re-
gulations (EVU).
This system should not be installed or
operated in areas designated as explosion
risk areas. This system operated on elec-

chanical parts. Not following all of the
above safety regulations could result in
damage to the unit, injury or possible
death to the operator.
Before and service, maintenan-
ce or repair work is done to the
unit the power must be dis-
connected!
It should be checked and confirmed that
electrical cables as well as all electrical
systems are in perfect operating conditi-
on. If any of these parts are damaged the
system should not be placed in operation.
If the system is already in operation then it
should be disconnected from the power
source and no longer operated.
In order to insure proper condition and
operation of the system, it should be ins-
pected and maintained according to DIN
1986-3.
We recommend that a service and mainte-
nance contract is signed by a professional
licensed service company.

During backwater or potential backwater
conditions no service or maintenance is to
be conducted on the system.
Note:
No components of this system are for
use in protection areas Class 0 or 1 ac-
cording to DIN VDE 0100-701. Area 1
is defined with flush floor showers as
a 1.2 m radius from the water outlet
source (projected water area on the
floor surface). Varying local guidelines
must also be followed.
VDE 0100, VDE 01107, IEC and local
EVU regulations (regulations of local
supplier) should be observed and follo-
wed.
The control unit should not be installed
or operated in areas designated as ex-
plosion risk areas.
The operator of this system should fol-
low all instruction in this manual as
well as manual number 010-847!
