9.1 Potential-free alarm output

The KESSEL control unit for the Pump-
fix® F can be fitted or retrofitted with a
connection for a potential-free switch
contact.
For this purpose, the additional board
(order no. 80072) is simply connected to
the control unit and the required control
line connected to the terminal clamps.
The relay drops out in the event of back-
water or any fault messages. Caution:
The potential-free switch contact is only
approved up to 42 V DC / 0.5 A.
9.2 Automatic self-diagnosis system
SDS
Every 4 weeks, the pump is automatical-
ly checked for function, with the flap au-
tomatically being checked as well with
the Komfort version. The pump is swit-
ched on for 2 sec for this purpose.
Any faults detected are indicated by
means of the respective fault message

and can then be eliminated as described
in chapter 5.

9.3 Power failure

Power failure is indicated by an optical
and acoustic signal. This is sounded until
the battery is completely discharged.

9.4 Checking the battery voltage

The control unit checks the battery vol-
tage constantly. If the battery voltage
falls to less than 13.5 V during battery
operation, this is indicated by the power-
LED and the alarm-LED flashing briefly.
Please check the use-by date on the bat-
teries and replace them by new ones if
necessary. To do this, disconnect the
control unit from the mains first. Then di-
sconnect the two battery connection ca-
bles (see page 14) from the batteries, re-
place the batteries and reconnect the
new batteries. The used batteries must
be disposed of properly!
