THE STEAM FUNCTION

The STEAM function is designed for steaming vegetables, fish fillets, dumplings, won-
tons and reheating dinner plates and leftovers.
WARNING: Ensure to fill at least 1 litre of water into the cooking pot
before starting the STEAM function. This function may not operate with
the cooking pot empty to avoid risk of overheating and fire.

1. Prepare the Multicook for operation (see: 'Preparing the Cooker for Operation'),
filling the cooking pot with at least 1 litre of water. Place the trivet into the
cooking pot.
If you wish to steam fresh food, arrange your food in the steaming tray allowing
1cm gaps between the pieces so the steam can flow evenly around all sides.
Then place the steaming tray onto the trivet.
If you wish to reheat your dishes, place the dinner plate or flat bowl on the trivet.
You may use dinner plates and bowls of 20 cm in diameter at the maximum.
2. Turn the START/Select dial until the indicator reaches the STEAM function. Press
the START/Select dial to confirm. The STEAM screen page is shown with the
preset cooking time (15 MIN).
3. If required, turn the TIME dial to select the cooking time. Time can be adjusted
between 1:00 minute and 1:00 hour in steps of 15 seconds or 1 minute.
4. Close the lid but do not lock. Turn the lid knob counter-clockwise to
unlock the lid.
5. Pull the pressure release valve upwards to remove it from the steam vent.
WARNING:

6. Press the START/Select dial to start the STEAM function. The STOP/CANCEL
button backlight will illuminate red, the LCD screen will illuminate orange and
indicate "PREHEATING".
