Note:
Even with the appliance connected to the power supply, the LCD screen remains
dark, while the appliance is switched OFF to standby mode. Even during operati-
on, you can switch OFF the appliance at any time by holding the STOP/CANCEL
button pressed for 2 seconds.
IMPORTANT:
When you attempt to switch OFF the appliance with pressure still in
the heating compartment (PRESSURE COOK function), for your safety, the appliance
will switch to pressure release automatically. In this case, wait until the pressure is
released or press the RELEASE button to open the pressure release valve until pressu-
re decreased to normal air pressure. Thereafter, you can switch OFF the appliance
and/or open the lid.
To save energy, the appliance switches OFF automatically, when being idle for more
than 5 minutes. If in standby mode you wish to switch ON the appliance, simply
activate any operating element on the control panel. The LCD screen will illuminate
blue and you can select the desired function for a new cooking cycle. However, it
is best to always unplug the appliance, when it is not in use.

COOKING FUNCTIONS

The Design Multicook Professional features 6 pre-defined functions. However, we
wish to encourage you to give it a try according to your recipe, amount, type of
food, and your personal taste. For selecting your own cooking times, temperatures
and/or pressure levels, you may use the designated CUSTOM function.

The PRESSURE COOK and SLOW COOK functions provide a list of commonly used food
types with pre-determined cooking times, temperatures and pressure levels to give the
best results.
This function is ideal for thickening and intensifying the flavour of sauces, syrups and
stocks.
This function is designed to enhance and deepen the taste of meals by easily using
the same cooking bowl for caramelising and browning foods before pressure or slow
cooking.
This function is ideal for softening and caramelising garlic, onions and smaller pieces of
food prior to pressure or slow cooking.
This function is designed for steaming vegetables, fish fillets, dumplings and wontons
and reheating dinner plates and leftovers.
These functions are only available for the PRESSURE COOK and SLOW COOK functions.
Select CUSTOM, if you wish to use your own individual settings. See: 'Saving Individual
Settings Via the CUSTOM Function'.
