The interval between the alarm
tones becomes shorter as the
vehicle gets closer to an object.
•
When the distance is less than
40 cm, the alarm tones sound
continuously.

automatically when:
•
Reverse gear is deselected.

A fault occurs in the system.
Fault

•
Move the vehicle with care.

Check and clean the sensors.
Notes on operation
•
The alarm tones differ depending
on the objects detected.
•
If the sensors receive other
ultrasonic signals e.g. metallic
sounds or exhaust brake noise
from heavy commercial vehicles,
the system may not work
properly.
•
The system may not activate
if the sensors are frozen or
covered with dirt.
•
Clean dirty sensors with a soft
sponge and clean water.
•
Do not push or scratch the
surface of the sensors.
•
Do not hit or direct high pressure
water directly at the sensors as
they may be damaged.
•
The system may not recognise
sharp objects, thick winter
clothes or other materials which
absorb ultrasonic waves.
•
The system may not operate
correctly when the vehicle is
driven over uneven surfaces.
