Driving and operating
Activation
The system is activated
automatically when:
The ignition is turned on
Reverse gear is selected

Alarm tones

Alarm tones sound when an
object is detected.
The interval between the alarm
tones becomes shorter as the
vehicle gets closer to an object.
When the distance is less than
40 cm, the alarm tones sound
continuously.
Deactivation
The PA is deactivated
automatically when:
Reverse gear is deselected.
A fault occurs in the system.
Fault
If a fault occurs, r illuminates:
Move the vehicle with care.
Check and clean the sensors.

Notes on operation

The alarm tones differ depending
on the objects detected.
If the sensors receive other
ultrasonic signals e.g. metallic
sounds or exhaust brake noise
from heavy commercial vehicles,
the system may not work
properly.
The system may not activate
if the sensors are frozen or
covered with dirt.
Clean dirty sensors with a soft
sponge and clean water.
Do not push or scratch the
surface of the sensors.
Do not hit or direct high pressure
water directly at the sensors as
they may be damaged.
The system may not recognise
sharp objects, thick winter
clothes or other materials which
absorb ultrasonic waves.
The system may not operate
correctly when the vehicle is
driven over uneven surfaces.
