Temperature gauge  The temperature gauge indicates the temperature of the engine coolant when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

    Holden Dealer. WARNING Driving with the brake warning lamp on can lead to an accident. If the brake warning lamp stays on, consult your Holden Dealer to have the brakes checked immediately.

The tilt steering lever is located on the underside of the steering column. To adjust the height of the steering wheel, push the lever away from you.

    1A-14 Chapter 1A DASHBOARD VEnTIlATIon The vehicle features a flow-through ventilation system for comfort. Under reasonable conditions, it should not be necessary to open the windows at any time. Outside air is drawn into the vehicle through the opening between the bonnet and the windscreen, unless recirculation has been selected.

    If the Security Card is lost and the PIN Code has not been recorded, the PIN Code can be requested from your GM Holden Dealer. Proof of ownership will be requested before the PIN Code is supplied. There may be a charge for this service.

Peculiarities of FM mobile reception A mobile FM receiver can not be expected to continuously provide the quality of FM reception you may have experienced on your home receiver. Contrary to popular opinion, FM broadcasts are not static free, and although your new radio has a built-in electronic interference absorption circuit some static will be evident from time to time especially in areas without a direct line of sight to the transmitter.

    1B-19 Chapter 1B AUDIO AnTEnnA InfoRmATIon Antenna (sedan) The antenna is integrated with the rear window demister. Be careful when cleaning the inside of the rear window not to scratch or damage the lines. If the surface is damaged, this could interfere with radio reception. Do not place any stickers on the antenna pattern of the rear window, as this may affect radio reception.

Autostore (AS) The best receivable stations in the FM and AM wave bands can automatically be stored. The stations are stored in a separate AS memory. If you leave the reception area of the stored stations, new stations can be stored.

    – not in the vehicle. In the event of the original keys being lost, any additional or replacement keys must be purchased from and programmed by your Holden Dealer, using your key code T250_VF-070 number. KEy BATTERy REPlACEmEnT Replace the battery if the indicator (A) fails to illuminate.
  • Page 49 Even if only one transmitter is being replaced, you must rematch all of your transmitters at the same time. Up to four transmitters can be matched to your vehicle. Contact your Holden Dealer to purchase a new transmitter and to have transmitters matched to your vehicle.

    Chapter 2 LOCKS IGnITIon SWITCH Ignition positions WARNING Do not switch the engine off while the vehicle is moving as there will not be any power assist for brakes or steering. Never remove the key while the vehicle is moving, as this will lock the steering.

    Chapter 2 LOCKS DooR loCKS REmoTE loCKInG/unloCKInG (HATCH) To unlock the vehicle: Press the c button on the remote control unit. The indicator lamp (A) will flash on the remote control unit, the vehicle hazard lamps will flash twice and all doors will unlock. To lock the vehicle: Press the e button on the remote control unit.

The door may be locked behind you by pressing the knob down when the door is open, then shutting the door while the door handle is pulled outward.

    Chapter 2 LOCKS BonnET loCK oPEnInG THE BonnET The bonnet release lever is located inside the vehicle, under the driver’s side of the dashboard. To release the bonnet, pull the lever toward you. The bonnet will release but is prevented from opening fully by a safety catch.

    Chapter 3 KNOW YOUR VEHICLE SEATS fRonT SEATS WARNING Side impact airbags (SIAB) – Do not fit unauthorised seat covers as they may impair the deployment of the SIAB. Do not position your body or any object (including pillows) between front seats and doors. Front seat occupants should not lean on or sleep against the door.

Retractable rear centre seatbelt (hatch) WARNING • Before fastening the rear centre seatbelt, make sure it is properly installed in the guide. • For occupant safety always use the seatbelt with both buckles engaged. The rear centre seatbelt system includes a retractable seatbelt, a buckle with key hole (A), and a buckle with a red release button (D).

    Check the seatbelts regularly. Replace the seatbelts if they become frayed or damaged. The operation of the buckle and retractor mechanisms should also be checked. Your Holden Dealer will regularly do these things as part of the scheduled maintenance plan, refer to the Service/warranty booklet.

The child could be seriously injured if the airbag inflates, as the child’s head would be very close to the inflating airbag.

It is also possible to purchase convertible seats which can be used as a rearward facing child restraint or converted to a forward facing child seat.

Under no circumstances are they to be used for adult seatbelts, harnesses, or for attaching other items or equipment to the vehicle.

    Contact your Holden Dealer as soon as possible. Extensive design and testing has gone into the airbag system. It should however, be treated with respect.

    This is designed to remind you that the pretension system has been used and therefore needs to be replaced by your Holden Dealer. The seatbelts will remain operational. If the SRS warning lamp v comes on at any other time have the system checked by your Holden Dealer immediately.

The front switches are for the front windows and the rear switches are for the rear windows Individual switches are located on the front passenger and rear doors.
