Checking correct functioning

To be carried out before every use.
 Verify completeness of Inhalette.
 Check general state of Inhalette and of flowmeter
with gas connection.
 Check tightness of screw connections of connec-
tion hose.
 Make sure that the nozzle is fitted tightly onto the
atomizer.
 Unscrew medication container, fill with medica-
tion and screw back into housing. Open metering
valve. A strong flow of mist is emitted from Inha-
lette.

Operation

F
 Unscrew medication container, fill with medica-
tion.
Filling level 5 is equivalent to 5 mL,
Filling level 10 is equivalent to 10 mL.
Screw medication container back in place.
Inhalette with toggle switch valve (fixed flow):
 Actuate toggle switch. A strong flow of mist is
emitted from Inhalette. To end nebulization actu-
ate the toggle switch again.
Instructions for use Inhalette
Inhalette with flowmeter (adjustable flow):
 Open metering valve and set the desired size of
the aerosol particles using the metering knob,
see "Particle spectrum of the medication nebuliz-
er" on page 19.
 Read flow at upper rim of ball.
 To end nebulization close metering valve.

Shut down

 Unscrew medication container, empty any resi-
dues, and rinse with distilled water.
Fill with about 10 mL of distilled water, screw
medication container back on, nebulize for about
1 minute to clean the atomizer nozzle.
 Empty out any residual distilled water.

Disassembly

 Pull out mask or mouthpiece (B).
 Unscrew medication container (E).
 Pull atomizer (D) off.
 Unscrew nozzle (C).
