4.3.3 Power failure
In case of a power failure, the Speedlane 900 can be operated by a battery backup. The
Speedlane 900 is then ready for normal operation. Before this battery is completely empty the last
action is to either open or close the doors as configured. When the power is restored, the
Speedlane 900 will switch over to the mains power again.
4.3.4 Fire alarm
In case of a fire alarm, as standard the door wings will open completely, allowing free passage
through the barrier. In case of simultaneous power-failure, the battery backup will activate this
operation. When the fire alarm is reset, the door wings will slowly turn to their closed position.
The Speedlane 900 is then ready for normal operation. In case of a fire alarm all other safety
features will be disabled. The fire alarm position always takes precedence over the locked position.
