Fuel-Filler Lid and Cap

A WARNING
F u el Spray:
F u el spray is dangerous. F u el can
burn skin a n d eyes a n d cause illness
when ingested. F u el spray is released
when there is pressu re in the f u e l
tank a n d the fu e l cap is rem oved too
quickly. W hen rem oving the f u e l cap,
loosen the cap slightly a n d w ait f o r
any hissing to stop. Then rem ove it.
F u el Vapor:
F u el vapor is dangerous. It cou ld be
ignited by sparks or fla m e s causing
serious burns an d injuries. B efore
refueling, stop the engine, a n d always
keep sparks a n d fla m e s aw ay fro m the
fille r neck.
A CAUTION
A lw ays use only a genuine M azda fuel
cap or an approved equivalent,
available at A uthorized M azda
D ealers. The w rong cap can result in a
serious m alfunction o f the fuel and
em ission control system s. It m ay also
cause the check engine light in the
instrum ent cluster to illum inate.

▼ Fuel-Filler Lid
To open, pull up the rem ote fuel-filler lid
release.
To rem ove the filler cap, turn it
counterclockw ise.
To replace the filler cap, turn it clockw ise
until it clicks.
