Seat Belt Extender

If your seat belt is not long enough, even
w hen fully extended, a seat belt extender
m ay be available to you at no charge from
your A uthorized M azda Dealer.
This extender w ill be only for you and for
the particular vehicle and seat. Even if it
plugs into other seat belts, it m ay not hold
in the critical m om ent o f a crash.
W hen ordering an extender, only order
one that provides the necessary additional
length to fasten the seat belt properly.

A WARNING
Unnecessary Use o f an Extender:
U sing a seat b elt extender w hen not
necessary is dangerou s. The sea t b elt
w ill be too long a n d n o t f i t properly.
In an accident, the seat b elt w ill n ot
provide adequate p ro tectio n a n d you
cou ld be seriously injured. O nly use
the extender w hen it is requ ired to
fa sten the sea t b e lt properly.
Using a n Im proper Extender:
Using a seat b elt extender th at is f o r
a n oth er perso n or a differen t vehicle
o r seat is dangerous. The seat belt w ill
n o t p rovide adequate p ro tectio n a n d
the user could be seriously injured in
an accident. Only use the ex ten d er
p ro vid ed f o r yo u a n d f o r the
p a rticu la r vehicle a n d seat. N E V E R
use the e x ten d er in a d ifferen t vehicle
o r seat.
Using a n Extender T hat is Too Lone:
Using an extender th at is too long is
dangerous. The sea t b elt w ill n o t f i t
properly. In an accident, the sea t belt
w ill n o t p rovide adequate protection
a n d you could be seriously injured.
D o n 't use the extender o r choose one
sh orter in length i f the distance
betw een the exten der's buckle a n d the
cen ter o f the u se r's body is less than
15cm (6 in).
