external calibration gas source must be connected to the appropriate port
on the rear panel of the analyzer marked AUX. Calibration gas specifica-
tions are located in the specifications section of this manual.
In calibration mode the instrument first checks for calibration gas pres-
sure. Next the instrument purges the calibration gas line for a user-preset
amount of time. Finally the ta7000R performs three calibration runs. The
first of these three calibrations is discarded. The second and third runs
are used to generate the calibration response factor.

When the calibration cycle is finished the status LED will turn red, in-
dicating that there has been a change to system settings. To view these
changes press the Page key twice to view the Calibration page. Move the
cursor to the first gas. The percent change since the last calibration will
appear in the right corner below the time. If the percent change is ac-
ceptable, press the accept button. This will set the change in temporary
memory. Repeat this process for each gas species.
To finalize the calibration and make the changes permanent, the changes
will need to be saved into Non-Volatile RAM. See the next section of this
manual for information on saving changes into Non-Volatile RAM.
