Transmitting to a Remote Mailbox

Xerox FaxCentre F12 User Guide
A document can be transmitted confidentially by using a
mailbox that is established in memory of the FaxCentre.
The transmitted mail will not be printed immediately, but will be
stored in memory of the remote fax machine until being
accessed by someone who has the proper security code for
that mailbox.
Feed the document(s) face down into the ADF.

Adjust the document settings if necessary. For details, see

"Adjusting Document Settings" on page 5-5.
Press [Menu/Exit] and then

FEATURE' appears on the display, then press [Enter].

'MAILBOX TX' is displayed on the lower line, then press
[Enter].
The fax machine prompts you to enter a mailbox number.
Ø
Enter the mailbox number using the number keypad and
press [Enter].
The fax machine prompts you to enter a password. Enter

the password using the number keypad and press [Enter].
Dial the remote fax number using the number keypad.
Ø
To enter the number, you can also press a one-touch button,
or press [Speed Dial] and enter a speed dial number and
press [Enter].
If you want to send it at a later time, enter the time you want

your FaxCentre to send the document.
If not, press [Enter] without entering the time. The FaxCentre
dials and sends the document immediately after being
scanned into memory.
Press [Enter], then the document will be scanned into the
memory. The FaxCentre returns to Standby mode.
NOTE: Confidential transmission feature is a non-standard
feature, dependent on the remote machine's capability.
