Managing lamp settings

Learn how to set up and work with a lamp.
This section provides information and procedures for optimizing lamp performance. Optimizing lamp
performance is recommended to make sure you receive the brightest, most uniform image possible for
the life of the lamp.

Adding a new lamp to the lamp history

Add a new lamp to make it available for activation.
Before adding a new lamp to the lamp history, you must turn off the existing lamp.
1. From the left navigation menu, tap Lamp Settings > Lamp Manager
2. Tap + New Lamp.
3. In the New Lamp dialog, select the type of lamp you want to add.
4. In the Serial field, type the serial number of the new lamp.
5. In the Reason for Change list, select the reason for adding the new lamp.
6. In the Lamp Hours Used field, type the number of hours the lamp has been used, if applicable.
7. In the Max Lamp Hours field, type the estimated maximum lamp hours.
The value for Hours Remaining is calculated automatically based on the specified hours used
and the maximum lamp hours.
8. Tap Add.

Activating a lamp

Activate a new lamp for your projector when replacement is required.
If there is an active lamp, you must turn it off before activating a new lamp.
1. In the left navigation menu, tap Lamp Settings > Lamp Manager.
2. From the Lamp History list, select the lamp you want to activate.
3. In the Activate Lamp dialog, select the reason for activating the lamp.
4. For the Total Lamp Hours Used value, tap the up and down arrows to enter the number of
hours the lamp has been used, if applicable.
The hours remaining are calculated automatically based on the specified hours used and the
maximum lamp hours.
5. Tap Activate.
