DIRECTORY of disk A:
RENAMING A FILE
The letter G is used to give the rename a file command, .which will give a file a new
name (title). This is particularly useful if you want to recall a BAK (back-up) file.
Since you cannot recall a file that has BAK in its name, you must rename the file and
then recall it.
To rename a file:
Begin with the Directory Menu on the screen
Put the disk with the file to be renamed in the B Drive
Check that Directory B is displayed, if not, change drives
Press the G key
Type the name of the file you want to rename (filename.BAK)
Press RETURN
Type the new name (do not include .BAK in the name)
Press RETURN
