Practice Exercise
Now that you've read about centering and
underlining, you may wish to practice
using them. The steps below show you how to use each of these features.
MAKE sure your training disk is in the B drive
IF the B Directory is not displayed, change to drive B
Press B
Type B:
Press RETURN
CHECK
the number of files on the B disk
Count the number of file names (if there are 64 on a
5~"
disk, or 128
on an 8" disk, you'll need to delete some of the files, using the
instructions on page 3-2)
CHECK
the disk space on the B disk
Press the H key
Type the word STAT
Press RETURN
Check the "Bytes Remaining On B:" message (if it is less than 4K,
delete several of the files, using the instructions on page 3-2)
Press any key to go to the Directory Menu
START a new document file named TEXT
Press the A key
Type TEXT
Press RETURN
CONTINUE
