4.172 Functioning

The "Automatic heat transfer" function permits the transfer of heat from the buffer stor-
age tank to the d.h.w. storage tank.
This can be accomplished either with the d.h.w. charging pump (Q3) or with the storage
tank transfer pump (ZuFu 3, Q11).
For heat transfer to take place, several criteria must be satisfied:
• The "Automatic heat transfer" function (operating line 531) must be activated (set-
ting 1 or 2)
• The temperature of the buffer storage tank must be higher than the temperature of
the d.h.w. storage tank plus the "Temperature differential ON" (operating line 534)
• The temperature of the d.h.w. storage tank must be lower than the nominal setpoint
of the d.h.w. temperature (operating line 26) minus the d.h.w. switching differential
(operating line 751

• Heat transfer must be released (operating line 532 and 533)
Heat transfer will be stopped as soon as the temperature differential between buffer
and d.h.w. storage tank is smaller than the "Temperature differential OFF" (operating
line 535), or when the d.h.w. storage tank has reached its setpoint.
During "Automatic heat transfer", no heat sources will be put into operation, unless the
automatic or manual "D.h.w. push" has been activated.
