4.32 Solar flow temperature sensor B63 for yield
measurement (ZuFu14)
• Makes possible yield measurement of the solar circuit
To provide solar yield measurement, the differential of solar flow and solar return tem-
perature as well as the flow rate must be known.
On this operating line, the setting of the flow temperature sensor B63 is made.
Setting range

The auxiliary function is activated as soon sensor B63 is assigned to a free terminal:
101...109
Sensor B63 can be assigned to a free sensor terminal between B101
and B109.

No assignment made and the auxiliary function is not activated.
Based on the temperatures acquired by sensors B63 and B64 and the measured (or
set) flow rate, the controller calculates the current energy yield.
The settings for solar yield measurement are to be found on operating lines 338
through 344, the yield display on operating lines 65 and 66.
For a detailed description of solar yield measurement and the use of alternative sen-
sors, refer to the general description of operating line 338.
To ensure an acceptable accuracy level of yield measurement, flow rate measurement
and calibrated sensors must be located in the same circuit.
Solar yield measurement can be integrated in the diagram as follows:
