Summary

1.1 Brief description

SIGMAGYR™ controllers RVP540 and RVP550 are designed for the coordinated con-
trol of the following pieces of heat generating equipment:
solar collector
wood-fired boiler
heat pump
Oil- or gas-fired boiler
With the RVP540, the maximum number of heat sources is limited to 2 , with
the RVP550, to 3.
Buffer and / or d.h.w. storage tank
or combi storage tank
Pump heating circuit
or mixing heating circuit

1.2 Features

• Mono- or bivalent heat generation
• Heat generation with oil- or gas-fired boilers
• Heat generation with wood-fired boilers
• Heat generation with heat pump
• Heat generation with solar collectors
• Management of buffer, d.h.w. or combi storage tanks
• Heat generation controlled either directly by the RVP540 or by an additional con-
troller of the SIGMAGYR™ range (e.g. RVL471, RVL472 or BMU)
• Heat source temperature setpoint according to the heat demand from the heating
circuits connected to the system
• Heat source temperature setpoint according to the temperature requisition
(DC 0...10 V, input H1, for controllers not included in the system)
• Heat generation lock or minimum demand for heat with the remote switch (via con-
tact H1)
• Overload detection (shifting priority)
• Green operation
• Manual operation
• Chimney sweep function
• Automatic operation
• Weather-compensated heating circuit control with or without room influence
• Adjustable maximum limitation of the heat demand signals delivered to heat generation
• Quick setback and boost heating
• Automatic 24-hour heating limit
• Automatic summer / winter changeover
• The building's thermal dynamics are taken into consideration
• Automatic adjustment of the heating curve to the type of building construction and
the heat demand (provided a room unit is connected)
• Floor curing function
• Optimum start / stop control
