3.28 Chimney sweep

The function generates the operational status required for periodic flue gas measure-
ments and maintains it for a certain period of time.
The chimney sweep function is only possible when an oil- or gas-fired boiler is installed.
Setting range
0 / 1
The chimney sweep function is activated with setting 1.
Select setting 0 on this operating line automatically after one hour.
When deactivating the chimney sweep function, the controller will return to the previ-
ously selected operating mode (automatic, continuous operation, standby, d.h.w.), but
not to the previous operating state (manual operation, "green" operation, info display).
As soon as you leave the programming level (pressing one of the operating mode or
function buttons once, or through timeout), the activated chimney sweep function ap-
pears on the display with KA and the current boiler temperature. In addition, the acti-
vated relays and the pointer for the current time of day appear.

Burner stage 1 will be activated. In that case, the boiler's switching differential will not
be taken into consideration. To ensure continuous burner operation, the only switch-off
point used is the boiler temperature's maximum limitation (TKmax).
First, all connected loads will be locked, enabling the boiler temperature to reach the
setpoint of 64 °C as quickly as possible.
When the setpoint is attained, the available heating circuits are switched on one by one
using a dummy load, to make sure the heat generated by the boiler is drawn off so that
the burner will remain in operation.
For safety reasons, maximum limitation of the boiler temperature (TKmax) remains ac-
tive as long as the chimney sweep function is active.
When pressing one of the operating mode or function buttons (or after a timeout of 8
minutes), only the programming level will be quit – the chimney sweep function, by
contrast, will still be active. The + / - buttons can now be used to switch the second
burner stage on or off.
The chimney sweep function can also be activated via LPB (ACS69).
