Operation
Setting up scenes that can be accessed and modified from
a Tabletop or Wall Control for single zone types
It is very easy to generate scenes composed of zones of the same type, i.e. Lights. See the following steps and
example. These scenes can be easily accessed and modified from the Tabletop or Wall Controls.
Example:
A room has the following lighting zones addressed to
the RTA-RS232 Interface:
Lighting Zone:
Front Lights
Rear Lights
Wall Washers
The desired scene has the Front Lights set to 25%,
the Rear Lights set to 80%, and the Wall Washers set
to 50%.
Step A:Select an RTA-RS232 Zone to contain a
scene. First, select a Lighting Zone on the
RTA-RS232 that is not in use, which will
contain the scene. This zone should have no
other RF Controllers addressed to it that are
not part of the scene.
For this example, we will use Zone #9.

Step B:Configure the target zone.
Enter configuration mode, then configure the
target Zone Type as the appropriate type.
Note: All feedback from the RTA-RS232 will
be prefixed with a tilde (~). This feedback will
only occur if the RTA-RS232 has Reply Back
Mode turned ON.
For this example, we will configure the zone
as Lights.

Step C:Add the target zone to the RF Controllers.
Place each RF Controller that is in the scene
in Program Mode by pressing the
programming button on each RF Controller.
See the RadioTouch
number 031-200, for information on
addressing. Each controller can be addressed
to the target zone at the same time.
