4-2-4. Extension Console

This section describes the procedure of expanding the extension console.
The extension kit is required to connect the Extension console. Prepare the extension kit as needed by
referring to the table below.

1 Extension belt kit. CSMA-BLTS.
2 to 3 Extension belt kit. CSMA-BLTS, Extension cable kit CSMA-CBLS.
4 to 7 Extension belt kit. CSMA-BLTL, Extension cable kit CSMA-CBLL.

. In order to install both of the Basic storage system and the Extension console at the same time, install
the Basic storage system first. (Refer to 4-2-3. "Installing the Basic storage system".)
. Before connecting the Extension console, be sure to replace the X stopper (B) with the new part as
shown below in the models having the following serial numbers.
