Information on this Instruction Handbook

The manual b maXX 5000 add-on module MOD is an addition to the Instruction hand-
book b maXX 5000 (5.09021) or b maXX 5500 (5.13008) for devices with
Ethernet/IP
Type code: BM5XXX-XXXX-XX08-00XX
The basic prerequisite for safe working also is compliance with all the safety and handling
instructions stated in the instruction handbooks b maXX 5000 or b maXX 5500.
Additionally, the valid accident prevention regulations and general safety regulations ap-
plicable to the scope of application the device must be complied with.
Read this Instruction handbook and the Instruction handbooks b maXX 5000 or b maXX
5500, particularly the safety notes chapter, completely before beginning any work on the
device. Both Instruction handbooks are part of the product and must be kept accessible
to the personnel at all times in the immediate vicinity of the device.
