Cleaning the display

Cleaning instructions for display windows
Caution:
!
Please read these instructions carefully. Failure to follow
the recommended cleaning procedure may damage your
display window and invalidate your warranty.
Window coating
A coating is applied to the plastic window of your display. This makes
it water repellent and prevents glare. To avoid damaging this coating,
the recommended cleaning procedure must be followed.
Do not use any abrasive materials including a dry cloth.
Do not use any unapproved cleaning solutions, polishes or
sprays.
Do not use a jet wash.
Recommended cleaning procedure
For improved cleaning, use Marine Shield
Screen Cleaner, which has been approved and tested by Raymarine
for use with Raymarine electronic displays (if Marine
TM
Shield
is not available, use fresh water).
1. Power off the supply.
2. Rinse the window with fresh water, to remove all
dirty particles and salt deposits.
3. Allow the window to dry naturally.
4. For improved cleaning apply Marine Shield
Marine Electronics Screen Cleaner and wipe the
window with a clean microfibre cleaning cloth
(provided with the display, or available from
opticians).
