9.1.2.2 To adjust the throttle cable
Note: The throttle cable looks different on different
engine models.
1. Loosen the clamp screw for the cable casing on the
throttle cable and move the throttle control to the full
throttle position.
2. Make sure that the throttle cable is attached to the
correct hole in the lower lever.
3. Pull the cable casing on the throttle cable away from
the hole and tighten the clamp screw.
9.1.2.3 To adjust the choke cable
Note: All engines do not have a choke cable.
1. Loosen the clamp screw for the cable casing on the
throttle cable and move the choke control to the full
choke position.
2. Make sure that the choke cable is attached to the
correct hole in the top lever.
3. Pull the cable casing on the choke cable away from
the hole and tighten the clamp screw.
9.1.3 Parking brake
9.1.3.1 To examine the parking brake
WARNING: The brake effect can decrease if the
parking brake is not correctly adjusted.
1. Park the product on a slope with a hard surface.

WARNING: Do not park the product on a
grass slope when you do a check of the
parking brake.
2. Push the parking brake pedal (A) down.

3. Push and hold the lock button (B).
4. Release the parking brake pedal while you push the
lock button (B).
5. If the product moves, adjust the parking brake.
9.1.3.2 To adjust the parking brake on AWD products
1. Remove the left footrest plate. Refer to
the covers on page 24 .
2. Loosen the parking brake locknuts (A) on the
adjustment screw (B).
3. Hold the adjustment screw (B) and turn the locknuts
(A) until the cable is tight.
4. Tighten the locknuts (A).
5. Examine the parking brakes after the adjustment.

Refer to
products on page 29 .
6. Install the left footrest plate.
