a. For lo cat ing the shank po si tion on the
frame, re fer to the shank lo ca tion di a grams
(See Fig ures 2-1 - 2-6). Mark shank holder
lo ca tions on the frame as in di cated.

b. If us ing twisted shov els, in stall all shanks so
shov els throw soil in ward ex cept shov els near
wheels. Po si tion those shov els to throw out -
ward.
c. To en sure the chisel plow pulls evenly, in -
stall cor rect num ber of RH and LH twisted
shov els.
d. Mount shank as sem bly to frame with two
5/8" bent bolts and two 5/8" x 3-3/4" Grade 8
bolts, lock nuts and plate. Tighten to 170 ft-lb
(231 Nm) (See Fig ures 3-12 and 3-13).
