Replacing the Primary Codec

To replace the existing primary codec with the new primary codec, complete the following steps:
Remove all cable ties holding the cables to the cable management bar. Take note of the organization of

Remove the cables from the codec. Label each cable with masking tape for identification as it is

removed.
Remove and retain the screws that attach the codec's L-brackets to the Display structure Front feet.
Step 3
Remove the codec from the Display structure.
Step 4
Remove the L brackets from the codec.
Step 5
Remove the cable management bar from the codec. Retain the bar and the screws.
Step 6
Make a note of the MAC address of the new primary codec. The MAC address should be printed on a

sticker on the codec. You configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager to use the new MAC
address in the
Cisco TelePresence System
