These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting and application of the
50P10 Manu Immobil and 50P11 Manu Immobil Long wrist supports.
2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The support is intended exclusively for treating the upper limbs and exclusively for contact with
intact skin.
The support must be used according to the indication.
2.2 Indications
50P10 Manu Immobil
Posttraumatic and postoperative conditions that require a high degree of immobilization of the
wrist
Sprains
Osteoarthritis of the wrist
Acute and chronic irritation in the wrist (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome)
Subluxation/dislocation
50P11 Manu Immobil Long
Posttraumatic and postoperative conditions that require a high degree of immobilization of the
wrist
Posttraumatic and postoperative conditions that require a high degree of finger joint immobi­
lization
Sprains
Acute and chronic irritation in the wrist (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome)
Subluxation/dislocation
The indication must be determined by the physician.
2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications
None known.
2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma­
tion, prominent, swollen scars, reddening and hyperthermia in the relevant area; pronounced vari­
cose veins, especially with impaired blood return, lymph drainage disorders and unclear soft tis­
sue swelling distal to the product; sensory and circulatory disorders in the area of the forearm and
hand, e.g. associated with diabetic neuropathy.
2.4 Mechanism of Action
50P10 Manu Immobil
The brace provides a high degree of immobilization of the wrist joint.
