The following table lists the SCC diagnostic error messages and
their meanings.
All MODEM error messages require a modem loopback and
use of service mode (DIAG_SEC 2) or an error will occur.
Meaning
Modem test expected the CTS bit to be set to 0 but
it was read as a 1.
Modem test expected the CTS bit to be set, but it is
clear.
Modem test expected the DSR bit to be set to 0, but
it was read as a 1.
Modem test expected the DSR bit to be set, but it is
clear.
Modem test expected the DCD bit to be set to 0, but
it was read as a 1.
Modem test expected the DCD bit to be set, but it is
clear.
Modem test expected the RI bit to be set to 0, but it
was read as a 1.
Modem test expected the RI bit to be set, but it is
clear.
Transfer has not completed. This usually indicates
that transmitted characters were not received.
DMA Transmit has not completed on line x.
System did not receive the expected interrupts.
Data received by the DMA WRITE was not the
same as the data transmitted on line x.
Response received from the LK401 was less than
the number of characters expected.
Response received from the LK401 was not the
correct response.
Response received from the mouse was less than
the number of characters expected.
Mouse has failed its power-up self-test.
Character received contains a parity error.
Character received contains a framing error.
Character received contains an overrun error.
Character received does not equal the character
transmitted.
SCC bit %x is not set at COREIO.
