Centering the MPC-78
Centering the motorized manipulator is strongly recommended
before attaching the top plate. Follow these steps:
• Power up controller.
• Check to make sure that you have removed the shipping screws.
Press the white "CALIBRATE" button on the back of the ROE.
• The ROE-200 will display "PLEASE WAIT MOVE IN PROGRESS"
• After the calibration operation is complete, the manipulator axis
will be at the center of travel and the coordinates will be "X" =
0.00 µm, "Y" = 0.00 µm, and "Z" = 0.00 µm. From this location
you can move 12500 microns in each direction in all axes.
Hint: Go to factory work position, by pressing "WORK POS."
button, it might be programmed to center.
• Save these coordinates by holding down the white "STOP/SET"
button with a momentarily press of the "WORK POS." button.
